Our Experience with Valarie Kerby~
Our family decided to move back to the East Coast during the summer of 2013, to be closer to family. At the time, the market was very strong and lots of neighbors were selling their homes as well. We originally listed with a popular realtor whose signs we had seen very often. We had a specific timetable in which to return home, so we felt the pressure of the ticking clock as well as a competitive market. Also, we had a different floor plan than most other homes around, one we loved, but wasn’t the most popular with buyers.
After a month of very little traffic, we decided to change realtors, Valarie Kerby was recommended to us. On the day we met, I had also planned to meet with another relator, but as soon as I met Valarie, I canceled with the other agent. I knew the minute she sat down with us that she would get the job done. Valarie is a straight-shooter. She will tell you like it is, but will also help you get the results you need. She was honest with us that our floor plan was difficult to sell and that we had to market to a particular seller. The marketing spin she put on our listing was brilliant and it made the listing appealing to our target audience. Within one week, Valarie brought us a full price offer. The entire process from listing to closing was completely painless. Valarie did a great job of keeping us up to date on things and was a great negotiator. On top of all those skills, she also was warm, thoughtful and enjoyable to be around. I was sad to say goodbye to her as we left town, and she has continued to check in on us as we have gotten settled. If I hear of anyone that is moving to the DFW area, I will be certain to tell them to contact Valarie, because I know they will be in the best hands possible.
